COACHING TYPES & INFO:
There are different ways to categorize types of coaching, depending on the focus, the style, or the application of coaching. Some common types of coaching are:
Career coaching: This type of coaching helps individuals explore their career options, identify their strengths and interests, and plan their career development1.Skills coaching: This type of coaching helps individuals learn new skills or enhance existing ones, such as communication, negotiation, presentation, or problem-solving.
Relationship coaching: This type of coaching helps two or more people improve their communication and interaction in various settings, such as personal, professional, or family relationships. Personal life coaching: This type of coaching helps individuals achieve balance and fulfillment in their personal lives, such as health, wellness, happiness, or spirituality.
Some common coaching styles are:
Democratic: This style involves the coach and the client collaborating and making decisions together. The coach asks open-ended questions, listens actively, and encourages the client to find their own solutions.
Autocratic: This style involves the coach giving direct instructions, feedback, and guidance to the client. The coach sets clear expectations, monitors progress, and holds the client accountable.
Holistic: This style involves the coach addressing the client’s whole person, not just a specific aspect or issue. The coach considers the client’s physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and helps them integrate all aspects of their life.
Laissez-faire: This style involves the coach giving minimal direction or intervention to the client. The coach trusts the client to take responsibility for their own learning and development and provides support when needed.
